Equally divine is the Sashimi Deluxe, where slices of melt-in-your-mouth fish are arranged with thoughtful elegance, showcasing the freshest cuts that evoke a true Japanese omakase experience.

The menu’s diversity shines with comforting staples like Ramen and Miso Soup, both prepared to perfection—rich, savory broths with a delicate umami finish that warm you from the inside out. Seafood lovers will find joy in the Shrimp Tempura, every bite boasting a light, crispy exterior that gives way to tender, juicy shrimp inside. A standout appetizer, the Miso Cod, is artfully cooked with crispy charred edges and flaky flesh that’s beautifully balanced, avoiding overpowering sweetness or heavy seasoning.

One of the best sushi around I wasn’t tm the biggest sushi fan until I ate here. The rainbow role is spectacular. The edamame was SOOO good too. We saw the individual pieces of sashimi with rice coming out and they looked top notch. This place was so good we couldnt wait to order takeout and go back. Must try!!!

Very enjoyable sushi spot in a cozy Convenient spot in Long Beach. This resturant had such a cozy feel to it when we walked in. Super friend staff and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Our orders came out nice and quick. We started with the gyoza, which had a great crisp to it. Then we split a few rolls. We got the crunchy spicy scallop roll, the no-name roll, and the smoked salmon roll. All very tasty, but the no-name roll was my favorite. The smoked salmon did have a very good smoked taste to it however. I noticed last minute that they had uni so I decided to give that a try. Very interesting, to say the least. Heavy ocean taste with a buttery texture. It's worth a try at least once. This place is worth a swing in if you're looking for some nice sushi.

Absolutely the best! I wish I could give more stars to this place because it is a legitimate Japanese experience of what sashimi and sushi should be. Good selection of Sake and beer. The miso soup was perfection. I ordered the miso cod as an appetizer. Definitely recommend! Cooked perfectly, not overly seasoned or sweet. Just great flakey fish the way it should be with perfectly chared and crispy skin. Sushi and sashimi sampler + California roll was a great value. Specialty rolls ordered did not disappoint! The David roll was AMAZING!! Spider roll with soft shelled crab was good too, lots of crab, enjoyed very much. Now on to my favorites, as of this wasn't enough already lol, the medium Toro.. OMG literally brought tears to my eyes, I'm still so happy just thinking about it. Super fatty, great cuts, best I have had outside of Japan. Finally.. THE SWEET SHRIMP!! Definitely order this! I didnt get a picture of the fried head but it was fried to perfection. Light breading, perfectly cooked. The sweet shrimp sushi was plump, sweet, with a small crunchy bite to it. This is one of my favorite things and I'm so glad it was as good as it was. Kudos to the Chef and his team on excellent execution, awesome service, and friendly staff. Highly recommended, and will be back next time I am in NYC!

Always a wonderful experience at Nagahama. The food is authentic and top quality, extremely fresh and well prepared. Beautiful sushi and sashimi selections, on par with what you’d find right in the heart of Japan. Definitely try the Toro (Bluefin tuna — a market price selection) and Unagi (salt water eel). Outstanding rolls, too. A large bottle of hot Sake complemented our meal nicely. We enjoyed that our server was wearing a kimono, a small touch that made the whole experience feel more authentic. Overall, this place is consistently serving up quality. I highly recommend!

Top sushi spot in Long Beach. Place is always busy, no reservations, great take out. Do not look past the sushi options, dumplings are definitely made in house and the aged tofu is delicious. The owner, chef and lead hostess are always onsite. Sit at the bar for a good look into the action and treat yourself to a piece of toro or another specialty piece of fish that is perfectly prepared. Every customer is a regular and the staff recognizes it. Thank you for a delightful meal every time.
